The short version
This site has no forms, no accounts, no logins, and no comments. We set no cookies of our own and store nothing in your browser. We use Google Analytics to count visits, we load fonts from Google, and some articles embed YouTube videos. Scheduling and email happen on other companies' platforms, not here.
What we collect directly
Nothing. There is no form on this website. If you contact us by email or telephone, we receive whatever you choose to send us, and we keep it for as long as we need it to respond to you and to maintain our business records.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-EVM3WEX15K) to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes information including your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site, and the pages you view. We use this in aggregate to improve the site. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with any other data about you.
You can prevent this by using Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser, or by using a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts.
Fonts
Typefaces are served from Google Fonts. Loading them sends your IP address and browser details to Google. We do this to render the site as designed; no cookies are set for this purpose.
Embedded video
Some articles embed videos from YouTube. When a page containing an embed loads, YouTube may set cookies and collect data about your interaction with the player, under Google's privacy terms rather than ours. If you are signed in to a Google account, that activity may be associated with it.
Scheduling and email
Links such as "Schedule a briefing" take you to HubSpot, where our meeting scheduler is hosted. Anything you enter there is handled by HubSpot under our agreement with them and under HubSpot's own privacy terms. The same applies to any marketing email you receive from us. Nothing on this website submits data to HubSpot on your behalf.
Marketing consent
Avèro Advisors is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Where you give us information in order to receive something you asked for, we use it to provide that content and to administer the relationship. From time to time we may contact you about our services and other content that may be of interest. We only do so where you have consented, and you can unsubscribe from any of our communications at any time using the link in the message or by emailing us.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted on DigitalOcean's App Platform. Like any web host, it processes standard server request information, including IP addresses, in the course of delivering pages to you.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not run advertising or advertising trackers on this site.
- We do not build visitor profiles or combine analytics with client records.
- We do not use client engagement data for marketing without the client's agreement.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics as described above, and ask us what information we hold about you. To make a request about your information, or to be removed from our contact lists, email [email protected].
